RAGHU
-----

Raghu is a name of a font - a typeface in Devanagari script. It is the first
'OpenType' font in public domain which supports rendering capabilities
of writing text in hindi, Marathi, and non-vedic Sanskrit language.

This non-hinted (the first version) face is a text face and is recommended
to be used for continuous text in minimum 18 pt size (on screen) and 12 pt
size (on paper).

Original outlines of this font, have been created on 'Vinyas' (NCST) software
and were adopted to TrueType format - 'Disha' in a Windows based software
'Darshan' (NCST). In 'Raghu' the outlines have been further modified, glyphset
extended and the font information 'tabled' to suit OpenType format. Raghu
has been designed and developed in all respects by Prof. R.K.Joshi with
assistance from Mr. Vinay Sayanekar. The style at present is available only
in Regular-Book weight. The style is based on traditional calligraphic style
of Devanagari script, a flat reed pen as a writing tool.

Raghu font has a copyrighted outlines, glyph set, and its name. It has been
put in public domain for usage 'as is'. However the changes and/or modification
in its existing outlines (for any other format) is not permitted and resold by
any other designer than Prof. R.K.Joshi.
