This event is generated when an attempt is made to exploit a known vulnerability in Veritas NetBackup Server.

A successful attack can allow an attacker to overflow a buffer and possibly run code of their choosing on the target host.

Detailed Information:
A vulnerability exists in the way that the Veritas NetBackup Server validates input to the volume manageer daemon. An attacker may leverage this vulnerability to overflow a fixed length buffer and execute code of their choosing on an affected host.
