ALT Domain

ALT Server distribution's edition

Content

Overview

ALT Domain is a distribution providing a suite of services for domain management; developed by Basealt LLC based on the Eleventh Platform.

Editions and Components

ALT Domain is distributed as part of the ALT Server distribution through concept of edition.

An edition is a predefined set of components supported within a specific product. Editions can be switched using the alteratorctl console utility for managing modules and the dedicated edition selection module (RU). Edition selection is also available in the graphical interface: ACC → System → About System.

Components are integrated sets of packages that deliver specific product functionality. Components are managed using the alt-components application (the new Component Management module in ACC) and the components module (RU) within the alteratorctl utility.

Currently, the distribution offers two editions:

ALT Server edition (RU)
Server operating system

ALT Domain edition (RU)
